Free ICS event checker
When events go missing, start with the source.
Check an ICS calendar file for upcoming events. If the file has them and the website doesn’t, the problem is in how the site displays them, not in the calendar.
No sign-up. Your file is read in your browser and never uploaded.
The failure pattern
A page can load perfectly and still show no events.
WordPress users have reported event views that load normally but show nothing, even though the same events appear in another view or in the plugin’s API. One example.
- 01The page returns HTTP 200, so uptime checks stay green.
- 02The calendar source still holds the upcoming events.
- 03The client or a visitor is usually the first to notice.
What the checker covers
One half of the comparison, done properly.
The checker reads the calendar source. Comparing it with the live website is a separate job, and one this free tool doesn’t attempt.
Open the ICS event checker- Whether the file is a readable calendar
- How many supported events are upcoming in the next 30 days
- The date of the next known event
- When recurrence or time zones make the count incomplete
- When you’ve saved a web page instead of the calendar export
- Whether your website is displaying those events
- Anything about a calendar URL. Upload or paste the file instead
- An exact count for recurring events
- Whether an event should exist but is missing from the file
Troubleshooting guides
All guidesChecking client calendars by hand?
We’re recruiting five agencies for a 30-day pilot that compares three client calendar sources with their public events lists and explains any disagreement in a message you can forward. Nothing to pay during the pilot.
